Video Poker Hall of Fame
With this incredible game comes a Hall of Fame. These people have contributed significantly to the understanding of the game, have spread their knowledge by writing books, created videos and analysis tools for all of us to use.
These analysis tools include video poker odds for all poker of any skill level to enjoy.
Therefore, every year since 2002, vpFREE honors people who have helped in the understanding of video poker, with a membership into the Video Poker Hall of Fame.
Beginning in 2002, the following 5 people where inducted:
● Si Redd. Si Redd was the inventor of video poker. He was an original owner of Oasis Resort Hotel and Casino, in Nevada. Back in 1975, his company designed and marketed the world´s first video poker machine. He passed away in 2003.
● Dean Zamzow. Dean wrote software that helped analyze the payrates in video poker machines.
● Stanford Wong. He wrote video poker software that also helped analyze payout percentages and probabilities for video poker.
● Gary M. Catlin. He also was a pioneer with regards to sofware creation and was involved in poker software tutoring.
● Lenny Frome. He was also a founding father of video poker.
In 2003:
● Dan Paymar. He has written exhaustively on the game of poker.
In 2004.
● Bob Dancer. He wrote one of the best sellers about the game, “Million Dollar Video Poker”.
In 2005.
● Jean Scott. She wrote two books on how to get the best comps and win at poker.
In 2006:
● Skip Hughes. With his world-renowned video poker mailing list, he was able to spread the word and created new fans of the game.
In 2007:
● Michael Shackleford. He has analyzed extensively most casino game systems and uses computer programs to run simulations. He has also worked with most casino software firms and acknowledges this when needed.
