Video Poker Game Variations 7-11
One Eyed Jacks
In another version of video poker, the wild cards are the Jack of Hearts and Jack of Spades, and referred to as “one eyed Jacks”.
Ace Invaders
As Video Poker allows multiple lines to be played this can affect pay out. Ace Invaders is a three line variation and uses the principles of two games. The first two lines use stud poker rules and the third line is based on a bonus poker game known as Five Card Draw.
While the bonus poker line can effectively attain pay out percentages of an astronomical 200 percent, the top two lines have relatively low payouts. The game uses a calculation for pay outs that starts on the top line and looks for Jacks or Better and if a winning hand is detected pays out for that.
For the second line, a card can be used from the top line if it will make a royal flush and is dropped down. The cycle is repeated for the second line, as it looks for the royal flush in the first line
Super Aces
This version of video poker is a variation based on Jacks or Better. Super Aces is also known as All Aces. The game provides a higher than normal pay out for a four of a kind hand, which is higher again if they are all aces.
Aces and Faces
While the All Aces version has increased pay outs for four aces, Aces and Faces is another variation on this theme. The game has an increased pay out if the four of a kind is a combination of both aces and face cards.
Pick A Pair Poker
The Pick A Pair version of video poker is also known as Pick ‘em Poker, whereby the player makes a bet and two cards are dealt which must be retained. The game then deals two sets of three cards with the first card in each set face up. The player has to pick which set to make up his hand and will obviously assess the value of his first two cards.
