Video Poker Game Variations 1-6

The two most popular variations are Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild Video Poker. Jacks or Better is the hand a player needs to achieve a pay back. Deuces Wild refers to the 2s which are classified as wild cards.

The video poker devotee also has other variations in which to enjoy. These include the following:

Multi Play Poker

This variation starts as normal with a hand being of five cards. The difference is that each subsequent hand that is played is drawn from a different deck of cards, less the hand that has already been drawn. Players can opt for triple play or be tempted by one hundred play versions.

Bonus Poker

In Video Poker the starting pay out is for a pair of Jacks and then two pairs above. This gives the game version the term Jacks or Better and payouts are usually standardised. Bonus Poker varies with a bonus being paid to four of a kind hands.

Double Bonus

A game where there is a substantial bonus given out on a hand containing four aces. Playing this version with perfect strategy out performs any other version of the game with pay out percentage of over 100 percent.

Double Double Bonus

This refers to the various bonuses on offer for hands of four of a kind and the other card. For example, the bonus applies to a hand of four aces and the 2, 3 and 4. A separate bonus applies to four aces and cards above the 4. If a king is drawn along with four cards of either 2,3,4, or 5, the bonus applies as well. Its pay out percentage rivals the Double Bonus.

Deuces Wild

Deuces Wild refers to the variation of the game ranks all 2s as wild cards, allowing a wild element to the game and making it an exciting challenge for the player.

Anything Wild

In this variable, the player can choose the wild card by rank after the first five cards have been dealt to the player. The return though is highest if the wild card designate is a 2.
