Strategy for Pick’em Poker

Pick’em poker is a video poker game where by learning a few hot tips and strategy you can really see a difference in hands you win and the cash you take home. The most essential part of your strategy with this game may seem obvious but you would be surprised just how few people follow this simple rule. The key is knowing how good your hand is and not mistakenly reducing your chances by overlooking a winning hand. Here is the order of hands to play with starting with the best first.

• Three of a kind
• Any three cards to a royal flush, EXCLUDING an ace
• Any pair of nines or better
• Any three cards to a royal flush, even with an ace
• Any three cards to a straight flush
• Any pair of two’s through eight’s
• Any three cards to a flush
• Any three cards to a straight
• Any cards nine or higher

If you can memorise this and work your way down the list to the hand you have then you keep those cards. If you don’t have any of the above combinations then it really doesn’t matter which card you pick.

This strategy is not going to guarantee that you win every time by any means, it will however give you a good clear guide on strategy against the computer and you will see positive results.
