Paint cards
Cards that have a face, such as the King, Queen and Jack.
Pair
These are two cards of the same rank. In Holdem poker, when a player holds an A9 and the board cards are 5AJ, then the pair is a pair of aces.
Pass
To not play that round and fold.
Passive
Players who do not raise or bet often.
Picked off
When a player is called when they are bluffing.
Pigeon
An easy player.
Pips
When the face of a card has markings or spots.
PL
Pot limit.
Play money
When a game has no real monetary value, such as playing for fun or with fake money. Online poker sites have these for players to try out before playing for real.
Playing the board.
When the five board cards are a superior hand than the players´. This is in a Holdem game.
PLO
Pot limit Omaha.
Pocket cards
Cards dealt face down.
Pocket pair
If the player is dealt two hole cards of the same rank, in a Holdem game.
Pocket rocks
A starting hand of AA in holdem.
Press
Where a player increases a bet. Also the player will Let it Ride.
Protect a hand
Betting in order to reduce the chances of other players outdrawing on them and forcing them to fold.
Provider
A better term than fish. A player who makes it easy for the other players to win.
Push
Once the hand is finished, the dealer will push the pot to the winning player.
Put down
To fold.

To properly guess another player´s hand and play effectively
