6) Betting systems and Probability are different things.

A system does not change the laws of probability. Odds and probability are based on mathematics and are basically set in stone. No matter what system promises you to change odds it is impossible

7) Only certain games can allow for knowledge improving your chance of winning.

Many games like roulette and slots are based solely on probability and no matter how much knowledge you have there is little chance of you being able to tilt odds in your favour. Games like Blackjack and Poker are ones you can increase your chances. With blackjack it is through card counting and with Poker you are playing other people who’s skill may not be as great as yours.

If the odds are bad you will lose in the end.

If you are playing a game where the chances of you winning are pretty minimal then you will lose your money. The reason the payout is so high is because it is so unlikely to happen!

9) Even good odds do not guarantee a win!

Odds and probability only really balance out in a long-term perception. If you are looking to make a quick win then odds and probability will not help you.

10) The lower the house edge the better the game for the player.

Games like Blackjack can be won with skill and the house edge is only 0.5%. With Roulette it is purely a chance game and the house edge is 5%. Factor that in money terms and you lose ten times more on roulette than blackjack.
