Deuces Wild Pay off Schedule
Deuces Wild is the term given to another variation in video poker games to define the fact that the 2s in the deck are wild. As such the pay out table varies considerably to that of Jacks or Better.
This variation does not give pay off for two jacks, a higher pair or even two pair. It does, however, provide one more winning combination of hands for pay off and the four of a kind pay off makes up about one third of the payback percentage, occurring once approximately every fifteen hands.
This is the combination that players should be looking for the most in this game.
In theory, the return can be as high as 100.8 percent, making it an exciting challenge to the devoted video poker player.
A perfect strategy is where you adopt to play for the maximum return, using maximum credits available. Therefore, playing five coins or credits is part of perfect strategy in the deuces wild version video poker.
As there are ten winning combinations, the pay off for each varies from the lowest combination of Three of a Kind up to Royal Flush. The Four Deuces combination ranks at number two on the pay off schedule.
In pay off order the following shows the difference in return when one, two, three and four coins are wagered, and the return for five coins. In pay out percentage terms it is higher than Jacks or Better, being 98.4 percent, with the difference here being a return of between 99.7% and 100.8%:
- Royal Flush – 300, 600, 900, 1200 and 4,000 with five credits.
- Four Deuces – 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000
- Wild Royal Flush – 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125
- Five of a Kind – 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75
- Straight flush – 9, 18, 27, 36 and 45
- Four of a Kind – 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25
- Full house – 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15
- Flush – 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10
- Straight – 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10
- Three of a Kind – 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
There is a large difference between four and five credits in the Royal Flush pay off. Most video poker games have this so those players who are not playing with their maximum credits are actually playing a game with a negative theoretical return.
