You’ve been gambling too long when:

1. The bartender asks you if you want a double, and you give the hand signal to indicate you’ll stand on the cards you have.
2. You pay your tab and wonder why you’ve been given change in notes and coins instead of casino chips.
3. You go home to watch the television and look to see where you put the coins in.

6. You’re waiting for a burger at the local diner and harass the kid on the slot machine to play five lines.
7. You play the slot machine for nine hours at the local diner one evening and wonder why there’s a S.W.A.T. team out the front and a very nice man with a bow tie, lab coat and very big needle telling you “It’s okay… it’s okay…”
8. You play cards at the neighbours and get strange looks when you throw a hundred dollar bill on top of the pile of matches that serves as the pot.
9. Your kid is doing homework and asks the answer to a math question and you say it depends on whether you’ve gone for odds or evens the previous round.
10. You’re at an ATM and look around for help from someone wearing a bow tie and name badge when it flashes up “insufficient funds”.
